SILK is a classical suture material. Ethicon SILK is made by the finest raw material from the cocoons of the silk worm Bombyx Mori. After a thorough cleaning the material is braided with a special method called PERMA-HAND. This process gives the Ethicon SILK its characteristics of a smooth, strong suture with easy handling and knot stability.
Provides prolonged tensile strength retention in tissue for up to 3 months.
